The members of K-pop group BLACKPINK are no stranger to donning high fashion pieces from luxury houses like Dior, YSL, Chanel and Celinè. Rapper and singer Jennie Kim in particular has been making waves in the fashion circuit with her recent OOTDs in Alexander Wang and ALAIÌˆA. But today, she broke the internet with her striped down campaign shoot for Calvin Klein.
Coming back with another CK campaign after her debut earlier this 2021 for the Heron Preston Collaboration, this time the Korean star is seen lounging around in the brand’s signature bralettes and undies.
The brand continues its #mycalvins movement with a star-studded multimedia campaign entitled The Language of Calvin Klein. Kaia Gerber, Damson Idris, and Dominic Fike join Jennie in this laidback campaign that’s all about being effortlessly sexy.
ICYDK, being part of a global Calvin Klein campaign is no easy feat. Celebrities like Brooke Shields and Mark Wahlberg consider being a poster model for the brand as an honor, and helped them become household names in the US. While supermodel Kate Moss was further catapulted to mainstream fame thanks to her work with American brand.
Other K-pop acts who come close to fronting the brand on a worldwide scale are HyunA and Dawn who were dubbed the face of Calvin Klein in Asia back in 2020. Jennie being cherry picked for CK’s coveted underwear ads is definitely a testament to her being a key influencer in the fashion world.
Other pieces worn by Jennie include the brand’s Modern Cotton Bralette and Bikini bottom in grey. If you think the set looks familiar, it’s because Kendall Jenner and Hailey Beiber have been spotted wearing the exact same style.
This campaign definitely showed a different side of the singer a lot of her fans aren’t used to. One thing you’d definitely notice is how at ease and comfortable she is in her own skin while flaunting her Calvins.
