BLACKPINK’s Jennie Is the New Face of Ray-Ban

In a joint campaign unveiled on April 9, Ray-Ban and its smart eyewear line Ray-Ban Meta introduced Jennie Kim as their newest ambassador.

Across its online platforms, the American eyewear label described Jennie as “a global cultural force,” citing an influence and aesthetic that closely align with its identity. They wrote: “For a stellar performer who always sees the next move, these are the iconic, fashion-forward styles frames that match her momentum.”

In a press statement, Jennie shared her excitement about the collaboration, noting that the partnership “felt natural from the beginning.”

“To me, confidence isn’t loud; it comes from feeling comfortable with yourself and expressing who you are in a quiet way,” she mused. “Ray-Ban has that same energy: simple, expressive, and easy to live in. I love pieces that stay with you every day and become part of your mood, and this collaboration fits perfectly into that.”

The campaign features Jennie sporting a selection of the luxury brand’s latest releases, highlighting a curated edit of her preferred frames. The lineup includes ’90s-inspired silhouettes, Y2K wraparound designs, and cat-eye shapes. It also introduces the brand’s sleekest smart eyewear to date: the Ray-Ban Meta Blayzer Optics (Gen 2).

Months ahead of the official announcement, speculation had already begun that an ambassadorship with Ray-Ban was in the works, as fans noticed Jennie repeatedly wearing the Daddy-O silhouette, which quickly became one of the brand’s bestsellers.

Clearly, the “Jennie Effect” remains in full force.
