Beyoncé designed her own platform shoes.
The "Drunk In Love" hitmaker teamed up Giuseppe Zanotti to create the footwear, described as an "ultra-thick platform" with a stiletto heel, which is set to go on sale in the next couple of weeks.
Italian-born Giuseppe, who worked closely alongside the star and her stylist during the collaboration, was impressed by the clarity of the 33-year-old singer's vision for the shoe and was more than happy to let her have free rein over the project.
He told Forbes magazine, "Beyoncé has very clear ideas—she knows exactly what she wants. The thing which she then also has over other celebrities, is that she has an amazing voice. She's incredibly talented and she's an amazing dancer—she's complete. Few are like Beyoncé. I'm working on finalizing the shoe with her stylist right now. And Beyoncé will then say what she likes and what she doesn't like. It will be one shoe only."
Beyoncé is no stranger to fashion design after launching her own ready-to-wear line, House of Deréon, with her mother Tina Knowles in 2004.
She later teamed up with her sister, Solange, to release a junior line entitled Deréon in 2006.
