It's pretty much the Philippine equivalent of the Victoria's Secret annual runway show, except instead of curvy big-name models strutting on the stage, there are celebrities flaunting their hot bodies in Bench skivvies made spectacular by designer fanfare.
Bench celebrated its 25th anniversary this year with the Bench Universe Denim and Underwear show. The two-night show, whose first run was held last night and continues tonight, promised all the sexy extravaganza that the Bench underwear show, held every two years, has been known for. And man, did they deliver. From a boat that alighted from the sky that delivered a free-falling Enchong Dee, to a heart-masted pirate ship helmed by Dingdong Dantes, star after star arrived on stage in jaw-dropping creations by Filipino designers Cary Santiago, Michael Cinco, Furne One, Albert Andrada, Randy Ortiz, Joey Samson, and Rajo Laurel.
