According to Slab gallery owner Isa Lorenzo, it took designer Bea Valdes some time to say yes to this exhibit. Hesitation may have come in a moment of uncertainty but the final output can only be called extraordinary.
The mythical creatures of storybooks were brought to (highly-embellished) life by the designer who is already well-known for her opulent purses and decadent neckpieces. It's stuff the Brothers Grimm could never have dreamed—coiled Prince pythons ready to pounce, dressed seductively in metal and crystal mesh; a Fawn whose every muscular slope is caressed by meticulous beadwork; and The Tower darkly looming over tiny jewel-encrusted animals.
