Beauty queen Naelah Alshorbaji made Filipino pageant fans proud as she conquered the conquered the long gown competition of the Miss Earth 2021 pageant. She looked stunning in her iridescent green evening gown made by Laguna-based designer Louis Pangilinan. Naelah is among 89 contestants from various countries and territories around the world participating in the 21st edition of the Miss Earth pageant.

On Wednesday, November 10, Naelah took to Instagram with photos of her wearing Louis' gown for a photo shoot. Lensed by Elroe Banawa, the 23-year-old Filipino-Syrian model captioned the photos, saying, "Modern Gaia."

In an Instagram post last October 4, Louis said the form-fitting gown was "purposely made as light, soft, and calm, but in a sophisticated way." Naelah's evening gown may look familiar to pageant fans since two international Filipina queens have previously won their titles wearing the same piece. It's now touted as the "lucky green gown" for this very reason!
Miss Eco Teen International 2020 Ro-An Tamondong was the first to publicly wear the gown during her final walk at the Miss World Philippines 2021 pageant.

Filipino-American beauty queen Maureen Montagne also wore the same gown for a photo shoot before she took home the Miss Globe 2021 title last November 5.
