Investing in good wardrobe basics might be a redundant piece of fashion advice now, but it's one that doesn't hurt to be reminded of once in a while. Maybe it’s just us, but we tend to forget the glory of a good staple piece when we’re caught up in the excitement of trendy clothes.
In comes today’s #OOTD inspiration, Bea Alonzo, who has nailed down her foundational wardrobe. Her Instagram account is a study on how to have fun with fashion while always keeping a set of essentials on rotation. One of these said essentials is the classic blazer, which she dons everywhere from daytime affairs to dressed-up evenings. Whether she’s wearing a classic camel one or a brightly-colored number, she always looks effortlessly put-together.
Here are 8 times Bea Alonzo convinced us to wear blazers:
1. Blazers can feel a little serious at times, so wearing it in white is the perfect way to bring in a sense of lightness. The actress styles hers with a pair of shorts, making for a look that's fresh, easy, and effortless. If you're searching for a summer look, turn to this for inspiration.

2. And now for the diametric opposite: a super fierce, dominatrix-esque moment in a black suit set. Bea’s look features a padded shoulder that comes off strikingly strong and brings in a little sexiness by way of a mini skirt. Take note of this dramatic outfit pairing for the next time you need a confidence boost.

3. Next to black and white, camel is the color to have for a classic blazer. It has the same timelessness but with a more warm and earthy feel. For Bea’s look, she pairs her blazer with shorts of the same color, then adds in a leopard-print top for a bit of fun.

4. Bea shows us that printed blazers can be wearable staples. For as long as they're in a classic pattern (in her case, a checkered one) and in a neutral color, they can be styled with ease. Wear it on top of a black tee and your look instantly transforms from bland to sophisticated.

5. Take the blazer obsession to the next level by wearing it as a dress. Bea shows us how to do it by pairing her structured and striped piece with slicked-back hair and closed shoes. It makes for a chic masculine-feminine look that stands out.

6. The thought of wearing a bright blue blazer may seem daunting, but Bea shows how easy it actually is. She does the simple solution of wearing all white (down to her accessories) so the blazer becomes the star piece, without anything to take away its shine.

7. When all else fails, suit up! Bea keeps it straight-to-the-point by wearing her maroon-colored blazer with matching pants, and even a Bottega Veneta Cassette that seems like it was made for the look. When styled with a pair of white sneakers, it makes for a casual look that we're totally stealing for our next trip.

8. A yellow blazer is intimidating enough, but to pair it with bottoms that are just as bold? A daredevil move! It's nothing for the actress though, who seems to pull the look off with ease. For us, this outfit is a reminder to just go for it—loud colors, fun textures and all!
