Back To Basics: The Lbd Because we believe in the saying that one is never overdressed or underdressed with a little black dress.

Since day one, we’ve been consistently telling you the importance of investing in the basics. We’ve already schooled you on the vital role of the plain white tee in building a well-rounded wardrobe, so this time around, we’ll introduce you to another closet staple—the little black dress. Or, as we simply prefer to call it, the LBD.

Speaking of which, we spotted some of our local celebs including Bea Alonzo and Anne Curtis wearing this closet must-have in their own different ways. That said, how about we give you not just one but four ways to style the LBD? Go on, scroll down and take a look.

THE GOLDEN GIRL

Like Bea Alonzo, spice up your LDB with gold accents. Throwing on a belt to the equation creates a nice twist and, more importantly, it accentuates your waist.

RED AND RIGHT

If you’re not into gold accents, how about a pop of red instead? Cop fashion blogger Tricia Gosingtian’s look and bring a touch of color to your outfit. All it takes is a swipe of bright crimson lippies, then slip into a pair of red stilettos and you’re good to go!

LAID-BACK IN BLACK

So, you think LBDs are just for parties? Martine Cajucom proves otherwise by ditching the extra inches and going for a comfy pair of sandals instead. Now that’s something you can totally wear in an adventure-filled itinerary.

CLASSY CLASSIC

You know what they say, right? No one can ever go wrong with the classics. And with a little black dress, there's no need to overthink, really. So here’s a tried-and-tested LBD formula from Anne Curtis herself—all black and minimal accessorizing.
