If, like this author, you spent a great deal of your childhood watching Roman Holiday on repeat, then you're about to go nuts: Audrey Hepburn's clothes and personal items are going up for auction!
It's the very first time any of her belongings are being sold. Christie's has confirmed that a flagship auction, featuring items from Audrey's huge personal wardrobe, will take place at their London headquarters this September 27.

Pieces in the sale, which 'til now remain in the ownership of Audrey's family, are estimated to start at £100 and reach all the way up to £80,000. Key fashion picks include a Burberry trench coat, with an estimated price tag of £6,000-8,000, a selection of her ballet pumps and a blue satin cocktail dress by Hubert de Givenchy, an iconic designer with whom Audrey had a lifelong friendship.

Audrey's personal archive of photographs will also be sold alongside film memorabilia—for example, a Breakfast at Tiffany's script annotated in her handwriting is predicted to fetch somewhere between £60,000-80,000. Whoa.
An online sale will be open for bidding from September 19 to October 3, and the collection will be on view to the public in an exhibition at Christie's from September 23! Brb, booking a trip to the UK.
