Ask An Editor: Where To Shop Online

Ask An Editor: Where To Shop Online We list down 7 of our go-to international online stores.

Q: I’m an avid online shopper but at the same time I’m also scared to try out international stores. What sites would assure me of getting good quality and safe shipping of brands or items that we don’t have here.

A: Last month, our new Managing Editor Nikki Santiago discussed the safety of online shopping, so there’s no need to be afraid as long as you keep the pointers she has listed in mind. When it comes to finding one you can trust, our main advice is to read. Don’t be lazy! Review their terms of services and don’t hesitate to ask questions especially since most online stores that ship internationally have 24-hour customer service. If you don’t get a reply then that already says a lot about that store, right?

It also won’t hurt to know what you want. Online shopping can get crazy especially for shopaholics because there’s no turning back once you input the details of your magic (credit) card. Try to set a maximum value you're willing to spend, limit your expectations, and always remember that no site is perfect.

Read on to know more about seven of our favorite international online shops that ship to the Philippines.
