Artful Indulgence Bea Valdes' capsule collection for Adora.

She just launched her first exhibit at SLaB, Bedtime Stories, the other week. Now we find out she created a 16-piece, limited edition (read one-of-a-kind) necklaces for posh boutique Adora. Style Bible gets the 411 from Bea Valdes.

How it Happened
"Early this year, I was invited to a dinner hosted by Eman Pineda at Adora to celebrate the store's launch," narrates the designer. "He had admired a necklace that my sister, Marga , was wearing that evening, which was a prototype for the next collection I was about to launch in Paris. He fell in love with it and asked if I could create a capsule-collection of limited-edition pieces along similar lines for him."

What's in Store
As of press time, there were only ten pieces left in the store and two were already reserved. For a collection that's been on display for but a few days, it's getting snatched up, and fast.

Lilypad necklaces are so-named for the Polished turquoise , labradorite, or tiger's eye stones are grouped together to create the lily pad-shaped medallion. Cassini Talisman necklaces were created "with the idea of talismans, keepsakes from different corners of the world. Rings of semi-precious stones are grouped together, circles within circles within circles, telling individual stories," explains Bea. Lastly, the Tambourin Bib was based on the Tambourin Collection, her Spring/Summer 2009 offering, which she presented in Paris last October.
