She still managed to steal the show despite her absence.

Leave it to Ariana Grande to make headlines at the Grammy's without actually having to attend the "music industry's biggest night." The pop star bowed out of the show after a dispute with producer Ken Ehrlich over creative differences, but she didn't let her absence keep her from getting all glammed up at home.

As the show was ongoing at the Staple's Center in Los Angeles, Ari stole the spotlight and graced the world with photos of her would-be Grammy's gown on Instagram. "When [Zac Posen] makes [you] a custom gown, it doesn’t matter if you’re singing or not... Thank [you]," her caption reads.

Her gorgeous strapless frock was a custom Zac Posen creation: a voluminous gown rendered in a powder blue color à la Cinderella. Ariana had her hair tied up in her signature ponytail, with blush pink nail polish to complement her pastel palette and dainty blue earrings to match her dress. To finish off her OOTN, she donned a collar necklace that tied her whole look together. The only missing piece to her awards-show-worthy ensemble? The heels she would have worn on the red carpet. But really, who needs shoes when you're succesfully serving looks in the comfort of your own home!

To make her clapback even sweeter, the singer took home her first ever Grammy win for Best Pop Vocal Album, beating out Taylor Swift, Kelly Clarkson, P!nk, Shawn Mendes, and Camila Cabello.

She quickly took to Instagram to express her gratitude, despite the unfortunate situation. "I know I’m not there tonight (trust [me], I tried and still truly wished it had worked out tbh) and I know I said I try not to put too much weight into these things... This is wild and beautiful. Thank you so much," her tweet reads.
