In the fashion world, a lobster is not just a fine dining staple; it’s a fashion icon. It all started with the Lobster Telephone by Spanish painter Salvador Dali, which was later translated into the Lobster Dress in collaboration with Coco Chanel’s greatest rival, Elsa Schiaparelli. Since then, the clawed crustacean became an art form, a prominent figure in the realm of Surrealism.
Following the footsteps of these bigger-than-life artists, Aranáz brings back the iconic lobster together with other seaside elements in its latest collection called Retro Seaside. Take a piece of the sea wherever you go with their wide selection of handbags and minaudières made from a mix of hand-sculpted wood, gold-plated brass, coconut shell beads, and straw with notable add-ons like seashells and pearls. Get first dibs on this quirky collection as it debuts at Hong Kong Fashion Access on March 25-27, 2013.
