The first time I saw Anya Taylor-Joy in her natural hair color (a lustrous blonde), I had quite the lightbulb moment. Oh my god, I thought, she looks like a human Barbie. And sure enough, at every public appearance she made (that Dior Golden Globes look in particular), I simply couldn't unsee it. The Queen's Gambit star doesn't only the hair for it, she has the proportions, eyes, and posing skills to pass as the doll's IRL twin, too.
Don't believe us? That's all right, because you're about to be convinced. Anya was recently given the honor to host Saturday Night Live's season finale, and in that episode, she served what are probably her most living doll-esque looks so far.
Presumably inspired by her now-iconic role as Beth Harmon, Anya dressed up in '60s-inspired looks for her SNL inserts. Her glam team gave her the complete package: A vintage 1960s Courreges mini dress straight from stylist Law Roach's archive, statement round earrings, a flawless bouffant hairstyle, and of course, a classic cut crease à la Twiggy.

This spot-on decade-inspired look now brings us to a little fact of the day: Mattel Inc. introduced the plastic doll that is Barbie (or Barbara Millicent Roberts if you're family) back in 1959. So technically, if she was a real woman back then (one with more realistic body proportions, hopefully), she likely would've dressed exactly like Anya here!

I don't know about you, but I'm pretty sure my Barbie had a hairstyle and outfit just like this. But truthfully, Anya pulled it off so much better.

Ready to be wowed even more? Here's a still from one of the behind-the-scenes videos of the SNL shoot uploaded by her stylist. It shows the actress wearing a pink heart-embroidered mini dress by Carolina Herrera. As if that wasn't enough to channel that living doll aesthetic, she paired it with some hot pink Christian Louboutin stilettos and struck a pin-up pose! The comments section of the video was also filled with people calling Anya the real-life Barbie that she is!

Yes, hello, we're calling to report Anya Taylor-Joy for stealing Barbie's job in broad daylight.

Before you go, you have to see the pretty heart trio earrings Anya wore with that pink 'fit. We're still itching to find out where she copped those, but for those of you with the killer DIY skills, you might just be able to make them yourself!

Now we can't stop thinking about Anya playing the lead on a live action Barbie movie soon. Netflix, are you listening?
