Andrea Brillantes has had quite an eventful year with new projects and major career moves. The newest feather in the Gen Z star's cap is her newest title as a Tanduay girl. Being tapped to front the liquor brand's yearly calendar is certification of one's womanhood, and Andrea is definitely owning the honor.

On the night she was announced as the newest face of the brand, Andrea fully leaned into her sultry side in custom Neric Beltran. Her loyal stylist Eldzs Mejia details the look, which he describes as "shocking, but still delicate and pretty."

He tells Preview that the ensemble was a direct reference to the movie poster for 1999 rom-com American Beauty. "Blythe was the one who found the reference herself and really pushed for the idea," he shares. Mirroring the abundance of rose found in the poster, Andrea wore a sheer corset dress that had petals scantily cloaked her decolletage. It flowed into a floor-length skirt that shimmered with sequins and glitter.

"We wanted to make a statement," Eldzs says, emphasizing how the red hot ensemble aimed to signal a "new phase" in the actress' life and career. "She’s fully in control of her choices," he states, "and she wanted to make a bold entrance with a dress that makes you take a second, closer look."

Aside from its cinematic reference, the frock was also fashioned after a runway piece designed by Ludovic De Saint Sernin for one of Jean Paul Gaultier's latest collections.

Blythe quickly sent the internet ablaze with her daring look, with some netizens finding it polarizing. "Some people thought it was too much, and many thought it was beautiful," Eldzs acknowledges. He adds that the team, especially the calendar girl herself, aimed for something that would spark conversation. He caveats, however, that the look was totally practical as much as it was sexy.

"It looks super sexy and almost naked, but it’s actually well supported with a skintone fabric underneath... the illusion comes from the placement of the details, which makes the eye imagine something more daring than what’s really there," he says.

On the calendar itself, Andrea showcases her taut figure in bikinis and sportswear. There are five iterations of the calender up for purchase with every purchase of Tanduay bottles.

Later during the launch event, Blythe embodied her inner showgirl in another Neric Beltran look. Dressed in sequined fringe and with her hair in bombshell waves, she proved to everyone that she's definitely all grown up.

Congrats on the milestone, Blythe!
