Turning 18 is an important milestone for any girl as she officially becomes a young lady. That said, it's no surprise that Andrea Brillantes is pulling out all the stops to celebrate her coming-of-age in the most fabulous way possible. ICYDK, the actress is celebrating her 18th birthday on March 12—and in preparation for the festivities, she surprised her followers with a stunning photoshoot inspired by Sandro Botticelli's famous painting, The Birth of Venus.
Andrea released the first set of photos last week, captioned, "PISCES SEASON. Countdown for my 18th birthday begins now."
The set, beautifully photographed by Charisma Lico, features the young star clad in a white two-piece silk ensemble by Michael Leyva: a draped strapless top that shows off her décolletage and a long flowy skirt with a thigh-high slit. Similar to the goddess of love and beauty as seen on Botticelli's painting, Andrea can also be seen standing on a giant scallop shell, sporting extra long tresses in a whimsical auburn shade and styled in textured waves.
"Basically, the main theme is her zodiac, which is Pisces. Kaya there’s an element of water in all layouts," the photographer reveals. "She also wanted to recreate [The Birth of Venus] since she's the Goddess of Beauty." Needless to say, Andrea looks absolutely ethereal!
A week later, Andrea uploaded the second set of photos—this time around, she's channeling a mystical sea nymph in Carl Arcusa's corseted, mermaid-style gown with dainty appliqués. In this layout, the actress leans on some boulders while drenched in water, her long red locks a bit damp, but her gaze still shrouded in mystery. A look that seemingly came straight out of a story book!
Such a dreamy pictorial! Happy 18th birthday, Andrea!
