4. Be specific with what you want to happen. Converse with your seamstress; tell them exactly what you're expecting so that you won't end up sad and disappointed.

The next time you need something altered, you might want to bring in some fabric as well because they can make you a well-fitting pair of trousers, a skirt or that dress you've been lusting after but couldn't seem to get your hands on, all for a reasonable price.
