Altaire Bautista describes herself as a "very non-traditional" bride. As a stylist herself, she made sure each aspect of her wedding reflected her fun, sometimes rebellious, but always real sense of style.
So it makes sense that for her special day, both her and her "bride tribe" were decked out in chic suits instead of the usual infinity gowns. "I always knew my bridesmaids would definitely be wearing suits. I, myself, am not a gown kind of girl. I wanted them to wear something that [was] very me, [but], at the same time, [would] allow them to move and have fun," Altaire tells Preview.
While the bride did don a minimalist wedding gown by Batangueno brand Love, Marry Collections for the ceremony, Altaire was still persistent in sporting a suit for some of her pre-wedding photos. Her backless ensemble was a collaboration between her and designer Ronnie Comia. "I told him I [wanted] a very classy, hubadera suit. It was love at first sight during our first fitting!" she shares.
All six of her special ladies, which included her maid of honor and sister, tapped local designers to provide them their outfits. "I wanted them to have as much freedom when it came to styles and designs, as long as they [chose] a color from our motif," the bride explains.
"Every single thing I wore and did during our wedding is very me," she states. "I made sure to be true to my aesthetics, even if it [meant] a lot of eyerolls from conservative relatives. We want to look back on our photos and be happy because we stayed true to ourselves." True enough, she had a hand in every little detail of her special day.
