Kultura’s 10th year Anniversary was nothing short of magical with its lush backdrops and mesmerizing presentation. The event was a lavish display of Filipino craftsmanship synonymous to the brand’s ethos of heirloom luxury.
Here are five fashion runway highlights:
1. Pretty Pastels
There were pastel hand painted separates of pretty caftans, soft tunics and breezy button down blouses, which were layered with vibrant tapered pants and pencil skirts.
2. Filipiniana Chic
Fully embroidered shift dresses in jusi were refreshed in aqua and salmon pink, a nod to this season’s trend of modern Filipiniana dressing.
3. Suit Up
For daywear, three-piece suits in bold red and blue tribal weaves reflected the strength and duality of the woman of today. Both jackets paired with a form fitting skirt and cropped pants celebrated true ladylike fashion.
4. Full Regalia
The show unleashed a cascade of formal pieces of opulent silk cocoon ball skirts, worn with abaca wrap tops in stripes and neutral hues. Beyond the full gowns and dramatic silhouettes, accessories were kept to a minimum that maximized elegance and flair.
5. Dreamy embroidery
Perhaps the main attraction was the finale of dreamy ternos and capelets. This collection’s version of evening wear had an unmistakable air of tradition yet expressed elaborate techniques of cutwork and appliques, perfectly matched with a satin serpentina skirt.
