JaDine just got hitched—again! For the second time around, James Reid and Nadine Lustre are giving their fans something to squeal about: another fabulous wedding shot for their romantic comedy TV series, Till I Met You. (The first time, as we all know, was for their previous primetime soap, On the Wings of Love.)
In an interview with Preview, the show’s wardrobe stylist Neric Beltran reveals details about the looks of the on-screen newlyweds. Below, read what he has to say about the making of Nadine’s modern bridal frock and the inspiration behind James’ dapper look.
Hi Neric! Please tell us about Nadine's wedding look. How does it embody her character as Iris in the serye?
“When we were planning for the wedding scene, I suggested ‘60s mod. Nadine's character in the soap is very artsy and hip, so we thought this theme would be perfect for her and the millennial brides.”
Whose idea was it to opt for a short dress instead of the traditional long gown?
“It was my idea, to give the audience a feel that it was a practical wedding. In the story, Iris and Basti are a struggling couple. They can't afford a grand wedding. We wanted to showcase a non-traditional wedding that tells the viewers that they can still have a stylish wedding even though they’re on a budget.”
From what we've gathered, you not only styled her wedding look, you also did the dress yourself! Please share with us the details about the making of her dress!
“I actually bought the daisy lace fabric months ago and kept it knowing that I would be able to use it in the future. I lined the lace with sequined fabric to give it a subtle shine, added hand-cut mikado silk flowers in daisy shapes, and put pearls and spangles to complete the ‘60s feel of it.”

How about her gold sparkly shoes?
"I especially bought these shoes for the wedding scene. The slingback and bow details are just so '60s."
You styled both James and Nadine, right? Can you also tell us about James’ dapper look?
“Yes, both. I made Nadine's wedding dress. And for James, I asked JE&Co. to make the suit. Our peg for him was the Beatles—dark brown skinny suit plus tie, which also fits his personal style.”
