Adidas' Stan Smith sneakers have remained a popular style since their original release in the 1970s thanks to the pair's timelessness and versatility. Over the decades, The Three Stripes has revamped and reimagined the sportswear classic with all kinds of design from Stans inspired by famous cartoon characters to pairs decked out in floral illustrations. Most recently, they've taken the form-meets-function sneaker and given it a softer yet more modern look. Say hello to the Stan Smith Vulc Shoes, which show the classic style sporting pretty pastel accents!
Aside from the obvious color changes, this pair updates several of the shoe's small but distinct details. Instead of the usual white leather exterior, the shoe is made with a recycled fabric material. In place of a glossy leather finish, the Stan Smith Vulc sports a texture that resembles canvas, giving it a more down-to-earth, skater shoe-like look than the original. To finish it off, the usual perforations along the side stripes are replaced with stitched dots.
You can cop the pair in two colorways. Each features a predominantly ivory exterior in the same Cloud White shade as the OG. The Cloud White/Mint Green color scheme shows the thick rubber sole decked out in a dreamy pastel mint, which can also be seen on the back heel.
