Abi Marquez continues to break new ground for Filipino cuisine as she wins big at the 2025 World Influencers and Bloggers Awards (WIBAs) in Cannes, France. Last May 24, the 24-year-old took home the Food Creator of the Year trophy, aptly dressed as one of the country's most beloved (and perhaps polarizing) dishes.

True to her vibrant personality and love for our local fare, Abi donned a red Filipiniana fashioned after—wait for it—Pinoy spaghetti. Crafted by designer Jo Rubio, the modern terno was rendered in a shade of red reminiscent of sweet tomato sauce and had fringe that referenced pasta noodles. The train read "Kain Tayo" in monochromatic embroidery. A closer look at the frock shows golden forks twisting together the noodles with strands of pearls.

Accessories-wise, Abi had miniature spoons dangling from her ears and had an artful manicure to match the gastronomic motif of her dress. Punctuating the ensemble was a clutch by Nik Bentel that appeared just like a box of dried, ready-to-cook pasta.

Upon claiming her award in front of the world's digital community, Abi took to her Facebook page to express her excitement. "OMG GUYS NANALO AKO," she wrote, accompanying a photo of her holding her trophy with a triumphant smile. "Salamat sa mga gising pa wahaha," she quipped, given that the ceremony occurred past midnight in Philippine time.

She further shared about her victory come May 25, saying: "Still CRAZY to me that I’m in Europe for the first time and [I'm] recognized for what my team and I have built with love—to be surrounded by creators from around the world and to represent Filipino food on another global platform."

A big congratulations, Abi!
