In case you haven't noticed, modern bridal gown silhouettes are in. Second-skin lace sleeves have since been ousted by dreamy puff sleeves. More and more brides are trading in voluminous crinoline-supported skirts for slender frocks with sultry high slits. The floor-length gown, too, is slowly giving way to the unlikely but very cute tea length, a style in which the skirt stops by the ankles. There's no telling where bridal gown trends are headed to next. One thing's for certain, though: Dress styles are rightfully adapting to each individual wearer, and not the other way around. Needless to say, we're all for this.
The latest chic bride to come into our radar is Abby Castelo, who wed in September. She wore the prettiest strapless frock from Vania Romoff, which bore the flounciest modern skirt ever. Plus, we couldn't help but notice her bridal look's similarity to that of the iconic Carrie Bradshaw! The blue Manolo Blahniks totally gave it away.
The cool bride wore mother of pearl drop earrings from the local jewelry brand Pranca, and punctuated the sleek bridal look with the sassy Her 01 sunglasses from Gentle Monster, which were popularized by Son Ye Jin in Crash Landing on You. She also wore a woven crossbody pouch from Halohalo, which gave the modern outfit a sweet, subtly Filipino touch. In lieu of a dramatic overhead veil, she instead opted for a fountain of tulle and a glowing white bow, much like Ariana Grande's minimalist bridal look.
All in all, Abby looked absolutely beautiful. She's making a very strong case for bridal flats, too!
