There were exclamations that this year’s Alexander McQueen-themed Best Dressed Ball was the best and most fun they’ve ever attended. (“They” includes the likes of designers Rajo Laurel, Louis Claparols, and more who are regular attendees of the magazine’s yearly fashion event.) Designer Martin Bautista even declared via Twitter that “the Preview Ball is like the prom of the fashion industry.”
It’s the one big night where the lucky invitees can flex their fashion muscles and wear the bold outfits they’re too hesitant to don on any other occasion. Ten to twelve inch platforms, feathers spread eagle across the chest, ball skirts, and crystals galore—all the happy, shiny, fancy frocks came out to play.
As a thank you to everyone who (got dressed up and) came, Style Bible commemorates the night that was with a timeline of events and special sightings through our eyes (and phone cameras).
