Philippine Fashion Week Holiday 2010: Premier C The last batch of Premier designers unveil their PFW Holiday 2010 collections.

Filipino designers Arnel Zulieta, Lyle Ibañez, Pepsi Herrera and Edwin Tan, and Zxander Tan unveiled their respective collections for Premier C, Philippine Fashion Week Holiday 2010 last May 29, 2010 in the SMX Convention Center. This third and last cycle of Premier designers presented quite an absorbing show chockfull of covetable closet-fillers.

Arnel Zulieta's PFW offering, Forward March, is his take on a militant fashion sensibility. He fused maritime and military elements to come up with a cleanly detailed corpus of sexy and assertive looks fashioned out of sleek black, aubergine, and silver fabrics.

Lyle Ibañez, meanwhile, also called forth the somber colors of black and purple (his signature, it seems) to create his strikingly tempered collection of both menswear and womenswear. He incorporated accents of apple green, chocolate, and red to give a bit of lively pop to his extremely cohesive Fashion Week repertoire. Pieces were slinky, fluid, taut, or rippling. Also very cool are some of his garments' unusual gloved sleeves.

Pepsi Herrera and Edwin Tan both exhibited a mostly black and white lineup of flower-inspired creations. The specific structure of their floral inspiration is highly evident in the soft lines and flattering curves of their garments, which conjured up the allure of distinct femininity.

Lastly, Zxander Tan introduced a chiaroscuro of warrior-inspired looks. Well-tailored, dapper and decidedly masculine, his collection of dress shirts, pants and suits would make for requisite staples in every man's sartorial arsenal.
