Louis Vuitton, Manila, will be bringing in a selection of ten rare antique trunks and twelve toys from the Paris museum collection for a special exhibit entitled “Trunks and Toys.” Ten framed images, which were inspired by the toy collection, by famed French photographer Jean Lariviere will also be on display.
This thematic regional trunk exhibition will commemorate the luxury brand’s legacy in travel and culture. With pieces that have been produced since 1880 in the roster, it will appear to be like a timeline or story that shows the culture of travel as it moved into the modern age. You will also glimpse Louis Vuitton’s skill and craftsmanship as it progressed throughout the years by looking at the variations in each of the trunks.
“Trunks and Toys” will take place at The Gallery on the second floor of Greenbelt 5. It will begin on July 15 and end on August 5, 2010.
