9 Things You Should Have Chucked Years Ago Why oh why do you still have these in your closet?

Fads are our worst enemies. Sometimes, falling into their pretentious trend traps get the best of us, no matter how short their pesky life spans may be. Thank God for the weekend (woot!), because finally we have yet another chance to weed out our chaotic closets—stop delaying it already. We've shared with you the trends to ditch this 2015, but below is a list of pieces that we’re pretty sure have been gathering dust and taking precious wardrobe space for years. Ladies, if you still have more than half of these, you might have a serious problem of #sepanx. Don't wait for us to start singing Frozen's theme song, okay?

They come in chiffon and silk, some are sheer, while others have pleats. You knew the fad was going to die, yet you went for it anyway. And even when it was hot, admit it. It only ever looked good on people with legs for days. Which is not every single Filipina.

Swap it for: A skirt with thigh high slits. You have to agree, if the goal is to show off your gams, slits do a much better job.

It was cute for a while, but then every designer and department store started making them in every color, and in lower and lower qualities of jersey. Way to make a fine trend go bad.

We're with you - they're going to come back some day, what with all the '90s trends being revived these past few years. We reckon it would be a toned down, minimalist version of those darn floor-grazers.

Swap it for: Track pants, palazzo trousers, tailored wide leg pants, and jeans!

Don't these artista heels make you cringe?

Swap it for: Sandal platforms if the style is too near and dear to you, or pick from these 2015 trends list.

LET IT GO: CORK WEDGE HEELS

We get it, they're comfy. But they've been taken over by titas.

Swap it for: Thick block heels that are so in right now.

LET IT GO: HEEL LESS STEPPERS

Just because they are McQueens, doesn't mean you should keep them with you for life. Stop dreaming of the day this shoe gets its sweet return, because it will never happen. And if it does, we suggest you stay away. Ditto for the MaryJanes version. Actually, especially the MaryJanes version.

Swap it for: Every other heel there is.

LET IT GO: COLORED TIGHTS

Although we miss Blair Waldorf, we can't say we feel the same for her red tights. They make your legs look like logs.

Swap it for: Black or grey.

LET IT GO: PLASTIC HOOPS

Stop calling it vintage, it's just not. The '70s trend may be back, but these plastics are certainly not included.

Swap it for: Classic studs

LET IT GO: SILVER CROSS NECKLACE

There are a lot of things we love about the '90s and no matter how cool J. Lo, Missy Elliot, and all those other rappers look with their piled on bling; they're just simply not in tune with our new found love for minimalism.
