We’ve seen her on the battlefield, conquering cities and putting an end to slavery as Game of Thrones’ blonde-haired Khaleesi, Daenerys Targaryen. But even on the red carpet, the British actress Emilia Clarke proves time and time again that there’s more to her than just being the "Mother of Dragons" and 2015’s Sexiest Woman Alive, according to Esquire.
Below, check out the style lessons we’ve learned from the many times Emilia slayed it on the red carpet.
1. Prints are meant to highlight your curves, not hide them.

During the Los Angeles premiere of her movie, Terminator Genisys, Emilia showed off her sexy figure with a play on prints. Her weapon of choice? A cut-out striped organza frock from Rosie Assoulin’s Autumn/Winter 2015 collection.
2. One must learn how to strike a balance.

When the British actress showed up at the 2013 Actors Fund Annual Gala, she paired her sparkly crystal-embellished Dior frock with minimal accessories, a pair of black peep-toe pumps and low ponytail to tone it down a notch and keep things classy instead of going over the top.
3. Don’t let the dress code keep you from standing out.

Emilia was a stunning lady in red during the 2013 Met Gala. Given the theme “Punk: Chaos to Couture,” she knocked it out of the park wearing a strapless sweetheart dress by Ralph Lauren, extreme side part, and a statement cross earring to match.
4. Sometimes less is indeed more.

At the Los Angeles Premiere of the third season of HBO's Game of Thrones, the brunette beauty looked sleek and elegant in Victoria Beckham. Enough said.
5. It’s okay to go out of your comfort zone.

Present at the Paris Fashion Week, Emilia turned heads during the Christian Dior Spring 2016 runway show as she took down the tailored road. Ditching usual feminine frocks for a chic Dior suit dress that shows off her gams, the actress finished off her edgy yet sultry OOTD with a punchy red lip.
6. Let your outfit resonate with your personality.

Emilia’s stylist, Kate Young, describes her as someone with “a really feminine, fun sense of style.” She definitely let it show in this white and purple embroidered number from Chanel’s Resort 2013 collection.
7. You can never go wrong with neutrals.

Looking prim and proper at the 2012 AFI Awards Luncheon, the GoT actress slayed it in her all-nude ensemble.
8. Taking risks is part of the game.

The first time we took notice of Emilia’s style game was most likely during the 18th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards in 2012 when she graced the red carpet clad in a black and white Chanel gown. Going for structured shoulders, embellished waistband and shredded skirt was a bold move indeed, but it sure did put her on the map of stylish stars to watch out for.
