Shoe shopping is absolute fun! But shoe shopping for your man can be a bit of a challenge. If you don't know what you're looking for, here is a good place to start.
1. Boots are in.
Whether it's a chukka boot or a hiking boot, a high-cutshoe is a quick way to amp up his style game.
2. Know his size beforehand.
Fit is key and part of that is knowing the right size to get. Fish for his shoe size, or better yet, get him there to try the shoes on for himself.
3. Know what he needs.
Take a little inventory of his shoe rack or observe what he wears whenever you two meet. Does he need a pair of leather shoes for work and formal events? Or maybe he needs new (and more stylish) staples like loafers to replace his battered sneakers?
4. Know his personal style, too.
Pick out colors, details, and designs that suit his fashion sense. It's just like how you love hubadera outfits and don't particularly like man repeller clothing or how you're more #TeamCozy and fond of sneakers rather than obsessed over '70s-style cut-off boots. Your man knows what he would wear over and over and what he isn't going to be caught dead in.
5. Think of his comfort.
Do the shoes have cushioning insoles? Is the fabric breathable? Are the shoes shaped optimally or wide enough that they won't cramp his toes or the curve of his feet? They should be as comfy as they are stylish.
6. When in doubt, go for neutrals.
Black and brown are must-haves for a reason. They'll work with absolutely anything and everything that's already in his closet.
7. James Reid makes a good style peg.
The teen star's style is on point and it doesn't hurt to reference him when looking for styling options for your man.
