A few weeks ago, I had a chance to participate in the first NTC Live in Singapore and it sure did help me push further, jump higher, and train harder. The Nike Training Club (NTC) is a high energy community that comes together to set goals to smash them, and get NTC fit. It aims to fuel the new culture of sports for women whether in the gym, the studio, or High Intensity Training.

Ever tried Xtend Barre? It was quite challenging, I tell you.

For the culminating activity, NTC  Master Trainer Marie Purvis led some 600 girls, including me, for an adrenaline-pumped training session. My takeaway from the event? Aside from an ignited fitness spirit, I’ve learned that fitness is a journey best experienced with your gal pals.

THEY GIVE YOU THAT EXTRA MOTIVATION.

Ultimately, working out or getting yourself to start working out is a decision you make; but if you need more convincing, a friend who’s ready to jump in on with you is the answer. Knowing that someone is counting on you and waiting for you can get you out of bed faster. It’s one thing to cancel plans with yourself but it’s another to cancel on your friends.
