Fashion is no doubt a bustling industry that goes beyond your OOTDs and IG feed, and getting a head start is easier than you think. There are a lot of schools located right here in the metro that could hone your talents and essentially help you pursue your fashion dreams. Now, you may think that you are the most sartorially-knowledgeable crayon in the box, but it doesn't hurt to sharpen those skills. Whether you're interested in design, merchandising, or even styling, there's a fashion school that’s a perfect fit for you.

1. SoFA Design Institute


Established in 2007, SoFA Design Institute has formed movers and shakers of fashion. Centered on design and business acumen, it offers varied degree and non-degree programs. To further develop your talents, they even have workshops (4-8 session modules) and master classes, too. Also, they're the official affiliate of Istituto Marangoni in the country, so there’s your chance to study abroad.

Plus, the program gives you an opportunity to study abroad for 12 months!

4. De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde


Aimed at bringing out your boldness and individuality, CSB's fashion program (Bachelor of Arts in Fashion Design and Merchandising) will definitely get you to think outside the box. The campus for the School of Design and Arts is a 14-storey complex, so you'll have no trouble letting your ideas run wild.

5. University of the Philippines Diliman


The only fashion program at the University of the Philippines would be Clothing Technology. Although it stands alone, it is no less innovative than other programs out there. Get ready for some real fashion experience as you tackle clothing design, production, merchandising, and research.  It also integrates industrial technology and management so you could run your future business like a boss.

6. Slim's 


Planning to be a couturier who works in a stylish atelier? Well, if it's craftsmanship and clothing construction you're looking for, enroll in Slim's. Founded by Philippine couture designer Salvacion Lim Higgins and sister Purificacion, their well-created technical lessons are packed with all the necessary skills you need. The programs are centered on aesthetics (they're all for great fashion sketching) and proper garment creation—so be prepared to roll up your sleeves.
