6 Comic Book Characters Whose Style Actually Rocked

Forget the superhero costumes, these ladies know how to rock it sartorially.
6 Comic Book Characters Whose Style Actually Rocked Forget the superhero costumes, these ladies know how to rock it sartorially.

Long before I started reading fashion magazines, I’d keep myself entertained with the funny stories Archie and his friends had to share. Veronica Lodge was my favorite mean girl. I always thought her clothes were better than Betty Cooper. So with the buzz surrounding last week’s annual San Diego Comic-Con, we decided to backtrack on some old favorites—classic comic book gals whose sense of style we couldn’t help but love.

VERONICA LODGE

If you think about it, Blair Waldorf had been totally pegged after Veronica. Daddy's little rich girl never failed to give Riverdale High a fashion show each time she appeared on a frame.

BETTY COOPER

Obviously Betty would be the Serena to Veronica's Blair, only slightly less glamorous. Betty is more of the sporty, girly type who likes to let it loose as seen on her sartorial choices of tees, jeans, and sneaks.

CHERYL BLOSSOM

Riverdale's resident bombshell, Cheryl, loves to show off what her momma gave her in those itty bitty clothes of her that boys go crazy for.

SABRINA THE TEENAGE WITCH

Sassy and stylish, Sabrina doesn't need her magic to bewtich us all. She keeps it classy and chic with clean silhouettes.

GWEN STACY

So I have to admit that I wasn't really a fan of Gwen's staple coat-boots-headband combo at first but it somehow grew on me—maybe if she just wore boots that weren't so high. Her beauty game though is a totally different thing.

MARY JANE WATSON

Unlinke Gwen, Peter Parker's second love interest was much more laid-back. Her signature look consists of a pair of ripped denim jeans! She's your typical hottie-next-door and maybe that's what Peter needed afterall.
