From looking at her Instagram feed, you would think that Laureen Uy has never gone to an ukay-ukay in her life. But that's where you're wrong. Because before there was Laureen in head-to-toe designer, she was first a self-proclaimed "Ukay-Ukay Queen."
In her recent vlog, the blogger shared that she used to save her allowance to shop for tops and skirts for as low as 50 and 100 pesos. "It's a really nice store to find unique pieces," she says. "All you have to do is to mix them with your personal style and everyday [pieces] and you'll be fine!"
And to prove that her ukay skills are anything but rusty, Laureen set herself up for a 500-peso shopping challenge. Heading straight to ukay heaven itself a.k.a. Anonas Mall in Cubao, she attempted to revive her college self's thrifting magic. See how she fared below!
