In school, we’ve got our girl crushes and our guy crushes. Though we’ve got to admit, we think we’ve got our couple crushes too. They’re the ones who seem so in-sync, and in love -- while looking so incredibly good. They’re the Blairs and the Chucks, the Carries and the Sebastians of our school halls, and we’re not sure if they make us melt or if they make us feel a tad bit jealous. In honor of the love month, we’ve perused Ateneo’s social media scene to find couples who prove that two stylish people are better than one, and five pairs who come from the blue school have made our list.
Gretchen Ho and Robi Domingo
This pair seems to be the type that’d prefer a Saturday night in watching movies in their sweats over a night out partying, and that’s probably why we love them. Considering their busy schedules filled with tapings and endorsements, they seem to remain adorably down to earth. They keep it simple yet stylish on regular days but they can also clean up pretty darn well when the event demands it.
Bianca Gonzales and JC Intal
Did you know that this Ateneo couple never even met on campus? Though JC admits to have been crushing from afar, the couple met years after graduating despite studying in that same school in Katipunan. But when it’s destiny, there’s nothing that can stop it from happening! A match made in fashion heaven, Bianca’s chic and sophisticated style complements JC’s more casual and laidback wardrobe choices.
Bea Santos and Marky Mercado
This is one couple you all need to keep on your radar. Bea is a style and leisure blogger who keeps us up to date with her clean and polished looks. But who’s the guy behind the lens? It’s her boyfriend Marky! “We plan our outfits sometimes,” Bea tells Style Bible. How adorable could that be?
Steph Ayson and Jao Ong
Consistently striking the perfect balance between classic and contemporary wardrobe picks, Steph was one of the easy picks for our list of most stylish Ateneans. But we couldn’t pass up the opportunity of including her boyfriend Jao in our feature. Coordinating in neutral hues, it seems like they’ve popped straight out from the editorials of a magazine, proving to the rest of us that a couple like them can exist in reality.
Nikki Gil and BJ Albert
When we spotted Nikki wearing a gorgeous diamond ring in her Instagram photos, we automatically knew that we were about to hear some big news from the VJ. Though they may have kept their relationship on the down low for the past year, the newly engaged couple continues to inspire hearts everywhere with their story. Nikki revealed that she met BJ through a common friend from Ateneo. They didn't meet in school though, but years after. It may have taken awhile before they crossed paths but Nikki admits that they met just at the right time and place. We absolutely agree that the entrepreneur is the effortless yet stylish match made in heaven to the TV host’s classic and fresh style. With their wedding in the works, we’re all just too excited to know all the details!
