Finding the perfect wedding dress is always one of the most exciting parts of being a bride. It can be a long and tedious process, with most having to start from scratch, and others needing to search high and low for the best off-the-rack pick.
Truly, not everyone can be as lucky as bride Loufel Pasaol-Sicat, who found "the one" in her mother's 40-year-old wedding dress.

In a post by Clicked With Love Studios, it was said that the Cebuana bride wore the dress to pay tribute to her late father. "As a woman, who was very close to her father, it has always been Loufel’s ultimate dream to have him walk her down the aisle and be handed over to her husband," wrote the studio.
"So [she] thought of this special way to honor and to still make her beloved father be a part of the most important day of her life, and that is to wear her mom’s exact wedding dress when she married him, the dress was designed and made by her mom’s good friend Myrisia Roble 40 years ago."

With the help of Cebu-based fashion designer Lemuel Rosos, Loufel had the vintage lace dress tailored to her frame. They stayed true to the original design that her mom, Marylou Pasaol, wore in 1982. They merely shortened it to a knee-grazing length and added ruffled sleeves.

Of course, Marylou couldn't hold back her tears upon seeing her daughter wearing her most prized fashion item. It was a touching full circle moment as well, because Loufel only used to play dress-up in the garment as a child. Now, the 30-year-old considers the most important piece of clothing she owns, just like her mother. She even hopes to pass it on to the next generation!

Congratulations, Loufel and Joseph!
