3 Unexpected Ways to Layer in the Tropics Bet you didn't think of these tricks!

Layering clothes is what we do to create new outfits from our existing pool of clothes. But when that cami top and shirt combo is already exhausted and layering on a cardigan is too boring, how else can we spruce up old items? Here, we've got tricks on how you can cleverly pair clothes that you wouldn't think would work together.

 EASY - Slip dress + off-shoulder

Let's start things off with something familiar.  Instead of pairing your '90s slip dress with a plain tee, mix up the trend with another trend, the off-shoulder. This will create an interesting twist to an otherwise predictable and exhausted pairing.

 MODERATE - Dress + skirt

Don't discount this tip just yet. The trick to succeed with this hack is to play with the hem. Opt to wear a skirt that has more flounce and body than your dress. Additionally, keep the skirt a couple of inches shorter than the dress to show the intended layering.

HARD - Long dress + jeans

This may be the trickiest hack but trust us, it can be done. The key here is to highlight where you intentionally layered, so make sure there's a distinct contrast with the clothes you're mixing. Start with a a lightweight fabric like tulle to get you started. Just keep the rest of your look simple for a laid back vibe. If you're on the shorter side, you may want to keep the dress mid-thigh so that the look doesn't wear you down.
