So when her long-time boyfriend, Sen. Chiz Escudero, finally popped the question, we just had to get all the deets, too. Lucky for us, we had the chance to corner the woman of the hour during Pond’s intimate event yesterday. And lucky for you, we’re letting you in on our little chat with this lovely bride-to-be.

Hi, Heart! Congratulations on your engagement! Are you already preparing for the wedding?
We're just starting to prepare for the wedding.
Do you already have a designer in mind?
No, not yet. I just know what shoes I want to wear, which is taking me forever to order. It’s the studded Louboutins and I’m really hoping to get it. You know how you put the name at the back? You can have it customized and I want to do but it's so hard. I’ve talked to people from London, Indonesia, and everywhere else but Dubai seems like the most promising. We’ll see what would happen.
How about your bridesmaids? Anyone we know?
Of course, Lovi (Poe), Alex (de Rossi), and Kat Cruz. The others I still have to figure out, but it looks like I’ll have a lot.
Fashion- or beauty-wise, how are you preparing? Are you on a diet right now?
No, I’m not on a diet right now. It was just recently that I stopped running because I lost too much weight and I thought I need to gain a bit more. After I gain, I can go back again. But I’m thinking maybe a day at a time because I don’t want to be stressed so much because I’m only given five months to plan. I’m just taking it in and enjoying it.
Let us in on a beauty secret. What's the first thing you do when you wake up in the morning?
After I shower I always moisturize. I use a lot of sunblock because I’m afraid of melasma. And every morning, before I eat anything, I make myself this shake with broccoli, celery, apples, and cucumber. It’s for detox, so I drink it before I eat anything and I haven’t been gaining weight since then.
If we are to open your closet, what are we most likely to see?
A lot of shoes, bags, jewelry. [Laughs] I love those things!
Can you tell us about your personal style?
I like to stick to the classics. I’m not so adventurous. I mean, when I was young, I kind of had a stage, but I stick to classics because when I look back I want to make sure that I don’t regret anything. I’m in love with Grace Kelly, Jackie O, and Princess Diana. I like it very simple and low-key, yet striking.
When you don’t have tapings scheduled, how do you dress for a lazy day?
I still dress like I have taping. [Laugh] I still dress like I have a show. I’m really like that. I make sure I feel good about myself, so it’s still important to dress well. It’s therapeutic—choosing what you’re going to wear for the day. You never know who you might see. When I wear high heels, I feel good. The higher it is, the closer you are to God, right? [Laughs]
So even during your days-off, you still wear heels?
Everyday! That’s why I was so bummed out that when I got engaged I was wearing slippers and I wasn’t in high heels. [Laughs] In Paris, I ruined my pair of Tributes when it got caught in a bridge. I gave up and wore ballet flats. But I don't normally wear flats. That’s just where I get my confidence. I feel good when I wear high heels. It makes everything dressy, even when you’re wearing shorts.
