It is always a delight to see fresh and modern fashion. More so if it is birthed from the young minds of millennials. And it is exactly what we witnessed at the De La Salle College of Saint Benilde Fashion Show. The annual runway show is organized as the culminating activity of the graduating batch from the Fashion Design and Merchandising program of the said college.
The fashion show, called SINULID, featured 25 upcoming talents whose designs range from ready-to-wear to avant garde to bespoke and everything in between. It supposedly showcases the marriage of design and business in fashion.

AVANT GARDE
Deanne Dychinco
Hand-painted and raw, Deanne’s collection reflects Studio Ghibli’s film The Tale of Princess Kaguya, interpreting the dramatic movements of the wind.
CASUAL WEAR
Kirsten Morales
Kirsten marries natural and synthetic materials, rendered in soft blooms, oozing with femininity but still wearable.
BESPOKE
Michelle Asiaten
Taking cues from florals, Michelle translates its delicateness on fabric through hand-painted details and beadwork.
Maria Nicole Palis
Nicole takes us back into the country’s baroque era highlighting the Filipino heritage by weaving indigenous fabrics like abaca and jute.
Monica David
Monica gives a bespoke spin on this mother-daughter collection inspired by Audrey Hepburn.
LUXEWEAR
Tacilyn Choy
Tacilyn’s Item No. 13 collection tackles self-identification and labels, interpreted in muted colors and minimalist cuts.

Alain expresses the darkness and brokenness of an artist through minimalist designs and a fiery palette.
