Ever bought shoes so nice but then kills you each time you wear them? As much as you want to use them, they either end up getting shelved after a few uses or you wear them anyway and deal with the pain.
But what if we told you that you don’t need to put through the hurt just to break them in? While not all shoes are bought for comfort, getting that lived-in feel while keeping them looking brand new can easily be achieved with a few little hacks. We show you ways on how to shake the pain away with these quick and easy home remedies. Read on and find out.
TIP # 1: BLOW THE CANDLES OUT
Does the skin peel on the back of your heel or the side of your big toe when wearing a new pair of shoes? Don’t hold the pain till you break them in. All you need to do is rub a bit of candle wax on the part that hurts and the fiction will be gone.
TIP # 2: SOCK IT IN
If you haven’t had enough of wearing heels the whole day, wear tight pairs around the house to loosen them up. Layer a thick pair of socks and slip into your shoes to give them a little more wiggle room once you wear them out.
TIP # 3: BLOW BY BLOW
If your shoes still feel a bit too snug after tip number 2, go grab a blow dryer and put it on full blast, concentrating the heat on the tight parts. This helps leather expand making it less painful to wear.
Go and try these tips at home and say goodbye to painful soles.
