But despite what's been churning out of the rumor mill, celebs have been standing up for the stylist. Here's a throwback to our slambook Q&A with Liz and her friends Belle Daza, Vice Ganda, and Bea Alonzo for our Preview Best Dressed issue back in 2013, a testament to why she's an industry fave.

FIRST IMPRESSION:

“Liz and I became friends seven years ago, then I started to get into the fashion scene. She was already styling my cousin Georgina [Wilson] then, so she started helping me out, as well. I wanted to work with her the most because she’s my friend and I like her style.” —Belle

“First time I met Liz was for my first Preview cover shoot [November 2006]. After that, I requested for her to be my personal stylist for the Star Magic Ball, and then nagtuloy-tuloy na.” —Bea

PERSONAL STYLE:

“Ever evolving. A lot of things influence my style—music, fashion icons, movies. If I see anything that inspires me, I incorporate that into my style. But people have said that my style is edgy but still clean, polished. I dress according to how I know myself.” —Liz

“I’m more relaxed, elegant, put-together. I appreciate trends but it’s not my thing to just jump into something just because it’s uso now. I like what I like.” —Belle

“Classic, girly, chic. I’m the opposite of edgy. I like Grace Kelly, Nicole Kidman, Anne Hathaway, Kate Hudson, Victoria Beckham.” —Bea

“Very random. Sometimes I want to be pa-girl; other times, pogi.” —Vice

FASHION FLASHBACK:

“I am an ’80s baby: denims, leggings, bright pumps. Then it became ’60s or ’70s, when I was influenced by Rachel Zoe and Nicole Richie. Then minimal, all black with just a pop of color, usually with the shoes. Pauline [Juan] saw the whole evolution!” —Liz

“I didn’t care before. Fashion wasn’t an interest. Just jeans and rubber shoes during my teens.” —Bea

“Polo shirt, belt woven into my pants, flared jeans, rubber shoes— Georgina and Liz would always laugh at me. I am happy to have gone from that. I mean you always have to start somewhere.” —Belle

FASHION EVOLUTION:

“Because I easily get bored, if you trace the history of Showtime, you’ll see the many styles I’ve had—some funny, others downright gross.” —Vice

“I was a super tomboy before. Before, Liz would say, ‘What are you wearing? Why are you wearing that?’ So she was really the one who helped mold my personal style.” —Belle
