As we close 2015 and weed out our closets to make room for the presents we’ll be receiving on the eve of the 24th, it’s time to bid a few of the year’s trends adieu.
Goodbyes are never easy, but think of it this way: this is not really farewell, it’s more like see you again... in a year or so. So while we’re keeping our ruffles (we’re still madly in love) and off-the-shoulder tops (just a wee bit more, please!), below are some of the trends we need to bid a temporary au revoir to. In short, just stop buying them already even if they go on massive sale! After all, outdated items are bound to get marked down.
Sinulog, music fests, and beach escapades didn’t feel complete without the jewel tattoos we became obsessed with. But this 2016, let them lay low a bit.
You had your moment with the ring as some kind of fake nose piercing. Now it’s time to move on, the same way you’re trying to forget that 2015 fling you had.
When 2014 ended, we told you to let go of the flower crowns. We’re glad you finally did, but now it’s time to let the cat out of the bag for good, too. We don’t want to see those cat ears unless it's Halloween. Even Ari got over it already.
Overly Ripped Jeans
Ripped jeans are okay, but overly slashed and worn-out denim is too much. Just don't. (We didn’t even like it in the first place.) Instead, cleanse your palette with all things chic for 2016.
Once everyone in the room starts wearing it, that’s your queue to let it go. Even Elsa would give you the same advice.
