Making viral-worthy content on YouTube is a good mixture of different things: hard work, originality, authenticity, and genuine passion for content creation, among other things. Bottomline is, it's not as easy as it seems and our favorite YouTubers deserve more credit than what is given.
But apart from their growing YouTube channels, some of our favorite content creators on the platform are also achievers in fields outside of content creation. Many of them even share their expertise in these different fields to their subscribers. ICYDK, here are five YouTubers with equally admirable accomplishments outside of YouTube.
1. Oliver Austria
With his informative reaction videos to celebrity houses, architect and YouTuber Oliver Austria now has around 2.15 million subscribers on YouTube. Aside from paving his own path in the local YouTube scene, Oliver is also a topnotcher. He ranked fifth in the architect licensure examinations back in 2016.
2. Jammy Cruz
Everybody loves Jammy's mukbang videos and other lifestyle content. But aside from being a full-time content creator, Jammy is also a certified public accountant (CPA). In a Q&A on her Instagram Stories, Jammy was asked for some study tips for aspiring CPAs. Her words of wisdom? "Pay attention to lectures. Not everything can be learned by just reading your books." She also shared that: "Aral + dasal + tiwala sa sarili = best combo".
3. Lyqa Maravilla
Coach Lyqa's educational videos have helped countless people; just ask her over one million subscribers on YouTube. ICYDK, she graduated magna cum laude and topped the 2013 Civil Service Exam before creating free content on YouTube to help out others who also want to ace their exams.
4. Bella Racelis
Bella Racelis, known for her YouTube channel ThatsBella, is one of the long-time vloggers in the country. She is currently a business management major at De La Salle University, but back in senior high school, Bella graduated with honors from De La Salle Lipa Integrated School.
5. Gwy Saludes
Gwy's YouTube channel has almost 600 thousand subscribers. She's got all sorts of relatable content for her fellow Gen Z-ers, ranging from study vlogs to entertaining shopping hauls. If you don't know Gwy outside of her YouTube presence, she's also a popular fiction writer on Wattpad with her University Series, and is a published author.
