PSA: Uniqlo's finally coming out with an online store, and we're already writing down our shopping list!
The Japanese apparel brand well-loved for its clean cut basics recently announced the launch of its E-commerce platform slated for release on the second half of 2020. "With millions of internet users in the country, there is a strong customer demand for online shopping in the Philippines. Uniqlo’s new online store will extend the reach of the brand, bringing Uniqlo and its LifeWear apparel to many new customers around the country," reads an official statement.
Uniqlo's online shopping platform will be accessible both on their website, and their mobile application. Through a virtual shopping experience, the clothing brand seeks to provide its customers with a safer and more convenient way of shopping their items especially amid the COVID-19 pandemic, and with the community quarantine still in place.
"An online store will provide local Uniqlo customers a faster and easier way of purchasing their favorite LifeWear items,” said Masayoshi Nakamura, COO of Uniqlo Philippines.
The retail giant reportedly pledged P10 million last March in support of relief and response efforts aiding communities affected by COVID-19. In a Facebook post on their official page, they disclosed that the funds will be used for "for food assistance and for the purchase of personal protective equipment."
