It's the end of an era. Instagram's latest update allows users to post landscape and portrait photos without using a third-party app.

Can't say we don't have mixed feelings about this. Square images make for a nice, neat feed and tell a more focused story.
But, "screen sizes have increased, and the platform has evolved to host more serious photography," The Verge pointed out.
The update also allows users to use any of its photo and video filters, regardless of whether you are uploading a photo or a video. Available to both iOS and Android users starting... yesterday.
