The La Mesa Dam nature reserve is one of the last few big green spaces we have in Quezon City, heck, all of Metro Manila and around really. It's a mainstay in every family and barkada's weekend itinerary, so the next time you head there, drop by this outdoor coffee shop for a caffeine boost and a hearty meal. Best part? You can bring your pets, too.

LOOK: Yakal Coffee by La Mesa Dam, Quezon City

Sitting right by the entrypoint of La Mesa Dam Road from Quirino Highway is Yakal Coffee. It's an outdoor café that serves up drinks and meals, complete with seats al fresco; imagine filling up your tummies while seated amongst trees and enjoying a cool breeze. That's about as close you can get to an "I'm out of the city" feel while still technically being in the city.

Yakal Coffee is located right beside the gift shop of a Million Trees Foundation, Inc., an organization that works to care for the La Mesa Dam Nature Reserve. The café partnered up with the foundation to help out with their efforts: planting, protecting, and more. Don't forget to drop by their gift shop, too!

The expansive compound has a ton of greenery, seats both outdoors and a few indoors, and even a bit of rooftop space. A peek at their menu shows espresso (starts at P90) and pour over (P140) options for caffeine feinds. If you're looking for something else, they've also got Yakal Tsokolate (P140 for hot/P150 for iced), Matcha Latte (P160 for hot, and P170) and more, including a Don Ramon Affogato (P170). For eats, they've got all-day breakfast: Daing na Bangus (P250), Spam (P290), Pork Adobo (P240), and so on.
