Siargao, a teardrop-shaped island just off the coast of Surigao del Norte in Mindanao, is known for its laid-back vibe that draws beach-lovers, surfers, and just about anyone in need of a good vacation. It is home to amazing barreling waves, lagoons and coves, pristine islets, rock formations, and—of course—plenty of places for good food.
The Triangle House Siargao
Siargao has its own set of guidelines to follow if you're planning to visit, and if you're planning to spend a few days, your best bet is a private rest house where you can just lounge around while waiting for your next surf session. Enter The Triangle House, a teepee-shaped, loft-style rental nestled in a 1,000-square meter garden.
The 70-square-meter cabin is perfect for two people and has glass doors and large windows that let in lots of natural light as well as the fresh sea breeze. There's a spacious living room, a functional kitchen with a French press coffee machine for your caffeine fix, a blender for making fresh fruit smoothies, and a dining table for four. The wide mezzanine has a queen-sized bed, a wardrobe, shelves, and enough space for your yoga mat.
Guests can access the herbal garden behind the house and harvest basil, chili, and ginger for your meals. If you're a dog lover, you'll be glad to know the owner's three furbabies love roaming around the garden.
Also located within the property is the Triangle Sister Siargao, a bigger version of the A-shaped cabin that's good for four people. It has two king-sized beds, plenty of living space, and a large bathroom.
The Triangle Siargao is along Old Road, Purok 5, General Luna, Surigao del Norte. Rates start at P3,754 for two persons with a minimum booking of two nights. For more information, follow The Triangle Siargao on Facebook or Airbnb.
