Labor Day weekend is the most anticipated weekend of the summer, and Boracay is ground zero for everything that’s hot and exciting. To make the summer even more lit, Globe pulled out all the stops for #GlobeBoracay, a weekend of revelry with local and international DJs from April 28 to May 1. MIA at the big event? Here are some of the highlights that you might have missed at #LaBoracay.
PARTY
We danced our hearts out every night from April 28 to May 1. Those were nights of pure fun and good music from our favorite local and international DJs. Held at Whitehouse, the event was headlined by DJ Matthew Koma who collaborated with Zedd for the hit songs “Clarity” and “Spectrum." Palace Pool Club also brought in the hottest acts in the metro to the Epic Beachfront.

NETFLIX AND CHILL
Every afternoon of that memorable long weekend, people sat back and chilled as they enjoyed Netflix viewing by the beach hosted by Globe at Home. Shown were some of our movie favorites and the NBA playoffs.

CORAL PLANTING
Participants helped plant coral reefs at Boracay in efforts to promote conservationism and biodiversity. This only goes to show that we can have fun and help the environment at the same time.
BEACH CLEANING
Of course, after the late-night parties, the responsible thing to do is to clean up our own mess.
FREEBIES AND DISCOUNTS
The island was also packed with booths and stalls offering the best buys. Using the #GlobeBoracay app, beachgoers had access to the best deals nearby, including great discounts and fun activities.
