Vern Enciso finally tied the knot with her long-time boyfriend Ben Lim this weekend! But due to the current situation, Vern had to adjust her dream wedding,which was no easy feat. The bride shared on her Youtube channel that she even had to change her wedding location and dress less than two weeks before the big day due to the rising Covid-19 cases in Cebu. But despite all the hurdles, the result was definitely worth it! Below, we round five details we loved about Vern Enciso’s wedding!
1. Gideon Hermosa Wedding Set-Up
The event stylist of Vern and Ben’s wedding is no other than Gideon Hermosa, of course! He adorned the wedding venue with a garden of pastel-hued flowers that are definitely swoonworthy. For the al fresco reception, Gideon bedecked the venue with even more flowers, making the fete extra special.
2. Mark Bumgarner Wedding Dress + Blue Manolos
Vern’s wedding dress was inspired by her style icon Carrie Bradshaw’s courthouse wedding dress—simple and practical but still chic! Thanks to Mark Bumgarner, her fairytale wedding dress came to life! Vern wore an all-white custom tailored jacket and clover skirt, which according to Mark, was made and shipped to Cebu in less than two weeks!
The jacket can also be removed to give way for a long night of dancing and mingling, a practical detail thanks to Mark. Together with her custom-made Mark Bumgarner look, she had to pair it with blue satin jewel Buckle Pumps from Manolo Blahnik just like Carrie!
3. Minimalistic Wedding Invitations
Before the big day, the couple sent out e-wedding invitations to their close friends and loved ones of course! Vern and Ben’s wedding invitation was clean and simple yet still impeccable, as it featured a simple line drawing of the couple with their two dogs. Isn’t that so cute? Their e-vites were created by digital artist Jean Yu!
4. Dog Boutonniere and Bouquet
Because they couldn’t bring their dogs with them on their big day, Vern and Ben had to have a little remembrance of their two dogs, Milana and Chewy, with the groom's boutonniere and the bride's bouquet! The clay version of their two pups were created by Clay Thing on Instagram.
5. Wedding Cake
The cherry-on-top of their wedding day is their wedding cake, of course! Their three-tiered cake was baked and decorated by Trina Ang of Cake Couture by Trina. It featured their two dogs, fresh cotton flowers, dried blooms, and a gold geode effect!
