Nothing to do on a Friday night? Or are you sick of your old routine of drinking beer and dancing ‘til the wee hours with your besties? Why not dress up, use that hard-earned payday dough, and head to Solaire for a one-night-only event you shouldn’t miss—the Toyota Classics program featuring the internationally-acclaimed Budapest Operetta and Musical Theatre.
Since 1990, Toyota Classics has held over 184 sell-out classical concerts in Asia. A car brand with a heart, it's one of the few in the automotive industry who care about much more than just selling cars. As they continue staying true to their tagline ‘Music that Moves Lives’, how about we take part in their annual event that has been helping different communities around Asia through the art of music? Last year alone, the Philippine leg was able to raise 1.5 million from the tickets sold—a total of 3 million pesos was then committed to helping the typhoon Yolanda victims.
Tomorrow night, Toyota is once again seeking our help as they promise to give the proceeds to International Care Ministries, Gawad Kalinga and Philippine Red Cross. And if it’s the Budapest Operetta and Musical Theatre you get to see live in return, we say it’s a win-win. Expect musical pieces selected from crowd favorites such as the West Side Story, The Bat by Johann Strauss II, Gypsy Love, The Land of Smiles, and The Merry Widow by Franz Lehár, and The Countless Maritza and The Gypsy Princess by Emmerich Kálmán.
See you there, fashion girls!
