Being a celebrity means you're constantly the subject of the public's eye. But often, what we see on social media barely scratches the surface. To our delight, Kathryn Bernardo's vlog, Everyday Kath, makes it easier for us to get to know her better. For her latest video upload, the 23-year-old actress sat down to answer random questions she's gathered from her loyal fans.
"Last December, if you can remember, I asked you to send in questions via Instagram stories," Kath captioned her Instagram post. "I started #EverydayKath so you can get to know me better, and in my latest video, I'm finally answering those questions!"
Below are some of the most interesting things we recently discovered about the young star after watching her vlog:
1. She and real-life beau Daniel Padilla are fans of the Netflix shows Shark Tank and You.
"Fan kami pareho ng 'Shark Tank' kasi ang dami namin natututunan sa series na 'yon. Nakisali [din] siya sa'kin manood ng 'You.'"
2. Japan is her ultimate favorite country.
When asked for her fave international destination, the actress was quick to reply: "Japan! 'Yan 'yong parati kong sagot kasi I love the people. 'Yun 'yung kino-consider ko every time I travel. 'Yung mababait 'yung tao; feeling ko safe ako. And parang kahit naka-ilang Japan trip na'ko, parating interesting pa rin siya."
3. Wearing "outside clothes" to bed is one of her biggest pet peeves.
"Ayoko nang pumupunta sa bed ko kapag galing ka sa labas—so 'yung outside clothes. Feeling ko kasi 'yung bed, dapat clean so kung saan ka man umupo on that day or saan ka galing, di mo dadalin 'yung bacteria na 'yon sa bed."
4. She values respect above all.
"'Yung 'di ako irere-respeto ng mga tao, I think 'yon 'yung pinakamalulungkot ako—kapag nawala sa'yo 'yong respeto ng mga tao. Hindi lang respeto as artista pero as a person."
5. She prefers light, citrusy scents.
"Favorite scent in general... something na citrusy. Pag sa taping usually cologne lang ako. 'Yong medyo fresh lang, 'yung scent na light."
6. She's a fan of Gal Gadot.
When asked for her favorite superhero, she answered without batting an eye: "Gal Gadot, Wonderwoman!"
7. She really, really loves cheese.
"I love cheese! Anything with cheese—like pizza, mac and cheese, or cheese itself lang 'pag nagwa-wine."
8. She loves breakfast food, too!
"Siguro kung meron lang one food na I can eat all day or every day, that would be beef tapa. 'Yon 'yung happy food ko. And I love breakfast food."
9. She's just as frustrated with the traffic in Manila—just like the rest of us!
According to Kathryn, if she can have a super power, she'd want it to be teleportation."Ngayon kasi sa traffic, ako 'yong tao na susulitin ko 'yung labas ko sa araw na 'yon. So kung magkaka-powers ako, I would love to have teleportation powers kasi ang dami ko magagawa in a day without the traffic."
10. Judy Ann Santos is her favorite local actress.
"I look up to her kasi she's very real."
